Maize Bergxxon

Efficient Grain Production with Bergkson

The French hybrid 'Bergkson' from R2N is designed for producers prioritizing high grain yield and processing efficiency. Characterized by its dent-type grain, this hybrid features rapid moisture release, which significantly lowers post-harvest drying costs. Being a simple hybrid, it ensures uniform crop development, facilitating predictable combine operation and minimal harvest losses.

Technical Robustness and Disease Resistance

Bergkson is a well-adapted choice for intensive farming systems, requiring a growing period of 120–140 days to reach full maturity. Its reliability is rooted in the advanced selection work by R2N, focusing on field-proven stress tolerance:

• Pathogen Protection: High genetic resistance to Fusarium and Helminthosporium prevents common yield-robbing diseases, especially in humid climates.
• Bacteriosis Resistance: Strong stalk and leaf integrity maintained throughout the season ensures that the crop stays standing until harvest.

This hybrid is recommended for growers focused on high-quality grain production. It shows excellent response to nitrogen management and does not require deviations from standard agronomic protocols. For farmers looking for a balanced, high-yielding crop, Bergkson offers both peace of mind against disease and a measurable economic advantage at the point of sale.
