Description Bergxxon
Bergxxon is a simple, mid-late hybrid sweet corn variety designed for monoculture cultivation with minimal soil tillage. It features stable and high yield potential, as well as adaptability to various soil-climatic conditions, making it suitable for cultivation in the North Caucasus region, including Krasnodar Krai and Rostov Oblast. Recommended sowing periods vary from early (at 8-10 °C) to late (at 12-14 °C), providing flexibility in agronomic practices.

Bergxxon is drought-resistant and has rapid water release, which reduces the risk of yield loss under adverse conditions. The hybrid demonstrates resistance to southern helminthosporiosis, moderate resistance to bacterial diseases, and high resistance to stalk fusarium, ensuring reliable protection against common corn diseases. Average grain yield in recommended regions reaches 50.9 centners/ha, exceeding standard benchmarks by 5.4 centners/ha.

Bergxxon grain has a medium type, closer to dent, with a yellow color at the top. It is characterized by low moisture content at harvest, facilitating storage and processing. Each ear forms 16 to 18 rows of kernels, with 36-38 kernels per row. The 1000-kernel weight ranges from 340 to 360 grams, indicating the size and quality of this hybrid’s grain.
