DMC Coral is an early-maturing, simple inter-row hybrid of sweet corn with FAO 190, developed by MAIS selection. It is characterized by high yield potential, reaching 111–145 c/ha, and is suitable for cultivation in various climatic zones of Ukraine, including Polissia, Forest-Steppe, and Steppe. Plants reach a height of about 230 cm, with ear attachment height of 90 cm. Kernels are yellow and arranged in 14–16 rows. The hybrid exhibits high grain drying speed, facilitating timely harvest.
One of the key features of DMC Coral is its high drought, lodging, and disease resistance, ensuring stable productivity even under stress conditions. The hybrid demonstrates rapid early growth and high development energy in early stages, contributing to good water use efficiency and cold tolerance. Thanks to these qualities, DMC Coral effectively adapts to various soil-climatic conditions and ensures high yields with optimal resource use.
For successful cultivation, it is recommended to sow DMC Coral early in spring, as soon as soil temperature reaches +10 degrees. Application of fertilizers such as potassium, phosphorus, and nitrogen helps maximize the hybrid’s potential. Due to its characteristics and affordable price, DMC Coral is a cost-effective choice for farmers aiming to obtain high-quality sweet corn yields.
