Hybrid corn 255 DD is a high-yielding mid-early variety with a vegetation period ranging from 95 to 124 days, allowing it to be successfully grown in areas with sufficient and insufficient moisture. Plants reach a height of 240-270 cm, and the dent-type grain has a 1000-grain weight of 290-320 g. The ear forms with 14-18 rows and 38-48 kernels per row, with an ear attachment height of 110-120 cm. The hybrid is capable of forming two ears per plant, which contributes to increased yield.

255 DD demonstrates high yield, ranging from 9.5 to 13.1 t/ha under production conditions and reaching 13.2 t/ha on trial plots. A distinctive feature of the hybrid is the rapid reduction in grain moisture during maturation, facilitating harvest and reducing drying costs. Seeds are treated with fungicides and insecticides, providing high protection against pests and diseases, including rust and root rot.

The hybrid exhibits high resistance to stress factors: resistance to lodging, drought, and low temperatures is rated at 9 points, while overall stress resistance is rated at 8 points. The recommended planting density is 65-70 thousand plants per hectare in areas with sufficient moisture and 60-65 thousand in areas with insufficient moisture. Due to its characteristics and adaptability, 255 DD is an effective choice for growing grain corn with high yield potential and reliable resistance to adverse conditions.
