Corn KR 822 MV is a high-yielding hybrid designed for cultivation in various regions of Ukraine. This hybrid is suitable for both grain and silage purposes, making it a versatile solution for agricultural enterprises. KR 822 MV is characterized by high yield and stability under different climatic conditions, confirmed by its adaptability to southern, eastern, central, western, and northern regions of the country.
The hybrid is classified as medium-early to medium-late maturing, with a FAO range of 250-500, providing flexibility in choosing planting and harvesting dates. Plants are tall, reaching a height of approximately 310-320 cm, with ears positioned at a height of 110-120 cm above the ground. KR 822 MV exhibits high resistance to lodging, stem breakage, and a broad spectrum of diseases, including fusarium rot, common rust, and gray leaf spot. Thanks to these qualities, the hybrid demonstrates excellent physiological traits and tolerates stressful conditions well.
A distinctive feature of the hybrid is rapid grain moisture loss during the maturation period, facilitating harvesting and reducing yield losses. Potential grain yield reaches 17-18 tons per hectare, while silage yield may range from 56 to 70 tons per hectare. Recommended planting density varies depending on growing conditions: approximately 40,000 plants per hectare in steppe zones, and 55-60,000 in irrigated areas. All these characteristics make KR 822 MV a reliable and efficient choice for farmers aiming to achieve high-quality corn yields.
