MIP Grateful

Barley of the bright type, variety MIP Grateful, was registered in 2018 and is a medium-maturing variety with a period from emergence to heading of 55-58 days. Plants have a medium height of 70-75 cm, providing good lodging resistance rated at 7-8 points. The variety is characterized by high drought resistance, rated at 8 points, making it suitable for cultivation in various climatic conditions, including steppe and forest-steppe zones.

MIP Grateful has high yield potential with a genetic potential exceeding 8.9 tons per hectare. During competitive trials from 2014 to 2016, the yield of this variety exceeded standard benchmarks by 0.43 tons per hectare, and in various natural-climatic zones such as Steppe, Forest-Steppe, and Polissia, the variety demonstrated significant superiority in yield. Additionally, the variety is characterized by high protein content in grain — from 10.5% to 11.5%, and the thousand-grain weight is 49.3-50.2 grams.

MIP Grateful exhibits resistance to major barley diseases, including powdery mildew, leaf spot, and dwarf rust, with resistance ratings ranging from 6 to 8 points. The variety also has high resistance to lodging (9 points), which contributes to maintaining yield during harvest and storage. Thanks to these characteristics and adaptability to various cultivation conditions, MIP Grateful is a reliable choice for agricultural production.
