B'YARIS

B'YARIS — this is a mid-late hybrid of corn (Zea mays L.), intended for grain production. The plant is characterized by high stature, with an ear whose main axis is positioned above the upper lateral branch of medium length. The grain of the hybrid is intermediate, closer to the dent type, ensuring good harvest quality. The hybrid is characterized by weak anthocyanic coloration of the silk and medium-length ear. Due to its features, B'YARIS demonstrates high yield — in the North Caucasus region it reaches 61.5 c/ha, and its potential yield may reach up to 155 c/ha under optimal growing conditions. The hybrid exhibits high resistance to various diseases and pests. It is resistant to southern helminthosporiosis, powdery and downy mildew, as well as root rots and rust. At the same time, the plant is weakly affected by bacterial disease and powdery mildew, but is susceptible to ear fusarium and corn stem borer. Additionally, B'YARIS is characterized by good stem strength, reducing the risk of lodging, and high cold tolerance, enabling it to successfully withstand temperature drops at the beginning of vegetation. The hybrid is recommended for cultivation in various climatic conditions, including areas with insufficient and sufficient moisture. The optimal planting density is 65–70 thousand plants per hectare in areas with insufficient moisture and 75–80 thousand plants per hectare in areas with sufficient moisture. Due to its rapid early development and quick water release by the grain upon ripening, B'YARIS is suitable for producing grit and flour. This hybrid is included in the State Register of Selection Achievements and recommended for use since 2009.
