Sweet corn Bone is a medium-late three-line hybrid with a maturity phase of FAO 250-260, intended for cultivation for grain and silage. Plants are tall, reaching over 300 cm in height, which contributes to high yields. Ear shape is conical-cylindrical, and kernels are cream-colored and toothed, ensuring good technological properties during processing and storage.
The hybrid is characterized by high spring cold tolerance and resistance to stressful growing conditions, enabling stable and high yields even under unfavorable climatic conditions. Over the test period from 2022 to 2024, the average grain yield was 128.1 ц/ha, with a maximum of 179 ц/ha, and when grown for silage, the average dry matter yield reached 239 ц/ha, with a maximum of 432 ц/ha. The average grain moisture at harvest is 28.6%, and the dry matter content in green mass is 33.5%.
Bone has strong immunity to most diseases typical for corn, reducing the need for intensive plant protection. High stress tolerance and adaptability to various growing conditions make this hybrid an attractive choice for farmers aiming to achieve high-quality and stable yields for both grain and silage.
