BELKORN 277 SV — this is a complex four-row maize hybrid (Zea mays L.) of medium-early maturity, intended for cultivation in the Central and Central Chernozem regions. The plant is tall, with a medium-intensity anthocyanin-colored tassel and medium-length main axis. The ear has medium length, with dent-shaped kernels having a yellow-orange upper part, and the ear stalk is colored. The hybrid has a medium grain yield of approximately 61 centners per hectare, exceeding the standard by 2.9 centners per hectare. The hybrid exhibits resistance to southern helminthosporium, as well as low susceptibility to bacterial and Fusarium ear diseases. However, maize stalk borer causes medium-strong damage, comparable to standard indicators. Due to its resistance and adaptability, BELKORN 277 SV tolerates drought and low temperatures well, making it a reliable choice for various climatic conditions. The potential yield of the hybrid under production conditions reaches 11–13.5 tons per hectare, and on variety trial plots — up to 14.3 tons per hectare. The recommended planting density at harvest time is 65–70 thousand plants per hectare in areas with sufficient moisture and 60–65 thousand in areas with insufficient moisture. These characteristics make BELKORN 277 SV an efficient and productive hybrid for agricultural production.
