Sylvester

Sylvester is a large-leaved variety of white clover widely used as an ornamental and forage plant. It gives lawns an attractive decorative appearance while also serving as an effective turf-reinforcing plant. Thanks to its creeping form and upright stem, Sylvester blends well with tall grasses, making it versatile for creating pasture cultures and lawn patches.

This variety is distinguished by high winter hardiness and resistance to severe climatic conditions, confirmed by trials in cold winters. Sylvester demonstrates early and rapid spring growth, as well as high resistance to sclerotinia. It contains a low amount of prussic acid, which significantly improves forage quality, making it particularly valuable for livestock farming. Clover is suitable for both mowing and mowing-pasture use, providing a large volume of nutritious feed.

Sylvester is characterized by endurance under loads such as trampling, machinery traffic, and regular mowing, making it a practical choice for intensive use. The optimal time for sowing is spring, late summer, and early autumn. It is often sown in mixtures with grasses such as ryegrass, meadow fescue, and fescue, which contributes to the creation of balanced and productive grass mixtures.
