Clover variety Lestris is a promising meadow clover variety distinguished by its high content of biologically active substances. In particular, the air-dried material of this variety has been found to contain the highest levels of flavonoids, expressed as rutin, reaching 1.3-2.4%. This indicates the high biochemical value of the plant and its potential usefulness in various applications.
In a comparative biochemical study conducted in the Udmurt Republic, the main quality indicators of plant material were determined, including crude fat, nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, and calcium content. The Lestris variety stands out among other meadow clover varieties due to its unique characteristics, making it attractive for cultivation in this region.
These findings allow recommending the Lestris variety as promising for agricultural use, considering its high productivity and improved chemical composition. This opens opportunities for effective cultivation and use of this variety in feed production and other industries where the biochemical value of plant material is important.
