Creeping clover of the COMPANION variety is a perennial herbaceous plant with trifoliate leaves and white flowers, forming a dense and stable turf. At the beginning of the second year of growth, the plant retains its green color, has a long and wide central leaflet, as well as medium thickness of the stolon and leaf petiole. The variety is characterized by a medium frequency of plants with white markers and glucosid cyanide, as well as a medium flowering time. A feature of the variety is increased drought resistance, which makes it particularly valuable for use in various climatic conditions. COMPANION is included in the State Registry of the Russian Federation and recommended for lawn use.
White COMPANION clover is widely used for creating decorative lawns thanks to its ability to form a dense and picturesque cover, which is less susceptible to diseases compared to traditional lawn grasses. It contributes to improving soil structure by saturating it with nitrogen, which positively affects the growth and development of neighboring plants without the need for additional fertilization. The sowing rate is from 1 to 2 kg per hundred square meters, depending on the characteristics of the plot. Thanks to high intensity of tillering, clover forms a dense turf, which reduces the need for frequent care and processing, making the lawn more eco-friendly and easy to maintain.
In addition to decorative functions, the COMPANION variety has a powerful root system reaching a depth of up to 45 cm, which contributes to strengthening slopes, embankments, and reclaiming wastelands. Its use in grass mixtures improves the decorative quality of lawns due to enhanced green coloration of grasses and increased growth and number of shoots. Clover is recommended for use both in pure form for creating isolated groups on the lawn and as part of grass mixtures, which allows diversifying the landscape and increasing the stability of the lawn cover.
