Description Aleksandrit
The ALEXANDRITE variety is a type of root chicory (Cichorium intybus L. var. sativum DC.), developed in 2007. It boasts high yields reaching 550–600 t/ha. The root has a conical shape and a creamy color, while the leaves are erect and light green.

Key characteristics of the variety include a high content of dry matter (22.5–23.5%) and inulin (16–18%). Inulin collection amounts to 8.8–10.8 t/ha. These indicators make ALEXANDRITE in demand for the production of beverages, food additives, and other chicory-based products.

The variety is resistant to cercosporosis and rhizomania, and has a moderate tolerance to powdery mildew. Due to these properties, it is suitable for both commercial cultivation and agronomic research, ensuring a stable yield of quality root under various climatic conditions.
