Description YUKONT
Yukont onion is an early-maturing single-bulb variety with a flat-round purple bulb weighing between 100 and 150 grams. This variety can be grown from seeds or from seed onions, allowing for use in both annual and biennial cultivation, respectively. The technical maturity period when grown from seeds is approximately 93 days, and from seed onions about 73 days. The onion is distinguished by its attractive market appearance and sharp taste, making it in demand among consumers.

Yukont is characterized by high yield and excellent bulb maturation after ripening—up to 100%. Storage longevity is from 8 to 10 months, while preservation of bulbs reaches 95-98%, and seed onions about 70.9%. The variety has relative resistance to downy mildew, which enhances its reliability under various growing conditions.

For sowing, it is recommended to first grow plants in a seedbed on a small area, then transplant them to a permanent location. After seedlings emerge, plant growth occurs slowly, which should be taken into account when planning agrotechnical measures. Seed germination rate is about 90%, ensuring good germination and uniform development of plantings.
