Chrysanthemum Charivna fleyta

Selection Heritage of the Gryshko National Botanical Garden

The «Charivna fleyta» (Volshebna Fleita) chrysanthemum is a landmark variety of Ukrainian selection, developed by specialists at the M.M. Gryshko National Botanical Garden of the NAS of Ukraine. In the professional flower industry, this hybrid is valued for its consistency and the recognizable aesthetics of its "spider"-type inflorescences, which distinguish it from standard globular forms. The variety has established itself in the cut flower segment by combining impressive height with exceptional decorative qualities.

Agrotechnical Profile and Flowering Rhythm

«Charivna fleyta» is a tall cut-flower chrysanthemum, reaching heights of 60+ cm. It is a true "autumn encore" plant: its late flowering in November allows for extending the color season in the garden or interior decor long after other species have faded.

• Inflorescence: large-flowered type (diameter 10+ cm) with graceful, spider-like petals that evoke the strings of a musical instrument.
• Color Palette: a deep, saturated purple hue that adds drama and elegance to floral arrangements.
• Longevity: a cut flower retains its freshness and turgor for 10–20 days, making it a preferred choice for florists.

Application in Landscape and Floristry

Due to its resilience, this variety is suitable for both greenhouse production and open-ground cultivation. In garden design, «Charivna fleyta» creates vertical highlights in mixed borders. Given its late flowering schedule, the variety requires protection from early frosts, yet its decorative appeal fully justifies the effort. This is an excellent choice for those who value unique regional selection and seek to bring deep purple tones to a late autumn garden.
