Chrysanthemum Delicate Zephyr

A compact accent for your patio

The 'Nyzhniy Zefir' variety, a breeding success of the M.M. Gryshko National Botanical Garden, is the definitive answer to the demand for the perfect container-grown chrysanthemum. Unlike many varieties prone to leggy stems, 'Nyzhniy Zefir' maintains its natural, tidy, cushion-like shape without the need for growth regulators.

Key features and plant architecture

• Compactness: Standing at just 30 cm, it is an ideal choice for border landscaping or terrace containers, ensuring the plant remains stable and doesn't topple under its own weight.
• Blooming: Its September bloom provides a stunning final chord for the season. The small, white, petal-shaped flowers (up to 5 cm) create a cloud-like effect, fully justifying the name 'Zefir' (Zephyr).
• Sensory experience: A significant advantage is its complete lack of fragrance. This makes it an excellent choice for relaxation areas, sunrooms, or as a gift for those sensitive to strong floral scents.

Who is this variety for?

This variety is tailored for those who appreciate a minimalist approach to gardening. It requires no complex pruning, but it is highly site-dependent: like all chrysanthemums, 'Nyzhniy Zefir' demands maximum sunlight. In shade, the stems will lose their rigidity and the flowering will be sparse. It is the perfect solution for those with a sunny balcony or patio who need a quick and elegant transition from summer greenery to a sophisticated autumn white aesthetic.
