Beauty of Kyiv

Cherry variety "Beauty of Kyiv" — a Ukrainian variety developed at the Donetsk branch of the Institute of Horticulture of UAAN. It is characterized by high, stable yield and increased frost and drought resistance, making it suitable for cultivation in various climatic conditions. The variety is resistant to coccomyces and does not require special care, simplifying its cultivation in gardens.

The fruits of "Beauty of Kyiv" are large, with dense flesh and a weight up to 10 grams. When fully ripe, they acquire a rich red color and have an excellent dessert flavor, rated 4.75–5.0 points. Flowering occurs at medium timing, and the tree quickly increases yield, making this variety attractive to gardeners.

To obtain a good harvest, it is important to note that cherry is a self-unfruitful crop, so it is recommended to plant several pollinator varieties nearby, considering their compatibility. Cherry fruits are rich in vitamins and iron, aiding digestion and helping with heartburn. Young trees are recommended to be covered for better winter survival, although the variety generally withstands cold winters well. The fruits can be stored for up to 10 days at normal temperature, which is convenient for harvesting and selling the crop.
