Era

Era cherry is a vigorous tree with a round, branched, and moderately dense crown. The branches are thick, straight, brownish-brown, and bare. This variety is characterized by intense growth dynamics and forms a spherical crown, making it attractive for planting on open southern slopes.

The fruits of the Era cherry are large, weighing 9 to 10 grams, round with slight flattening. They have a dark red or burgundy color and firm flesh with a pronounced dessert flavor, which remains even under adverse weather conditions, including rainy weather. The stone is medium-sized, round, and easily separates from the flesh. The peduncle is medium-length and thickness, with a dry detachment, which facilitates harvesting even with underripe fruits.

The Era variety belongs to the universal category with medium ripening time and exhibits high winter hardiness, exceeding the average level. It has moderate resistance to diseases, particularly susceptible to coccomycosis. This cherry variety is characterized by good transportability and high yield, reaching 75 centners per hectare, making it profitable for commercial cultivation.
