OBLAK

OBLAK is a medium-sized chokecherry variety reaching up to 6 m in height, distinguished by large pink flowers and abundant, lush blooming in late May. The flowers are gathered in long (up to 20 cm), drooping clusters that give the tree an elegant airy appearance. The main mass of flowers has a dark pink hue, with occasional light pink ones, while the petals are wide and fragrant.

The plant's leaves are green, and the crown is slightly spreading, making the tree undemanding in care. The chokecherry «Oblak» tolerates low temperatures well – hardiness zone down to -4 °C (–34 °C), so winter covering is not required. The plant prefers sunny spots and partial shade but can also grow with moderate shading.

The fruits of the chokecherry are large, round, and black, edible, which makes the tree useful both as a decorative and fruit-bearing plant. Thanks to the combination of beautiful appearance, abundant blooming, and cold hardiness, the «Oblak» variety is suitable for gardens and parks where both aesthetics and practicality are valued.
