Anemone SWIREL

Georgian selection: focus on resilience

Anemone 'Svirel' is a product of long-term development by the Federal Research Centre ‘Subtropical Scientific Centre of the RAS’. Unlike many decorative hybrids of European origin that often require greenhouse-like conditions, this variety showcases the resilience typical of plants adapted to the Caucasian climate. As a perennial, 'Svirel' is valued not only for its aesthetic appeal but also for its reliable performance in open ground.

Why choose 'Svirel'?

• Environmental adaptability: Thanks to its regional breeding, the variety possesses a robust root system capable of tolerating various soil types, proving far less finicky than elite imported alternatives.
• Perennial durability: Unlike short-lived hybrids, this variety is designed for long-term cultivation, providing consistent seasonal results with standard agronomic practices.
• Landscape versatility: The plant's structure makes it an excellent choice for natural-style gardens and rockeries, where both beauty and plant health are priorities.

Who is this variety for?

This anemone is optimal for home gardeners and landscape professionals seeking a low-maintenance yet beautiful perennial for permanent planting beds. While it is more forgiving than many high-maintenance anemone hybrids, it still requires proper soil drainage during the dormant period to prevent tuber rot. 'Svirel' is the perfect choice for those who want a reliable, field-tested cultivar that bridges the gap between botanical aestheticism and practical garden endurance.
