Anemone is a delicate perennial plant that radiates lightness and airiness thanks to its thin, almost transparent flowers. In nature, there are many varieties of anemones, but they are usually divided into two types: spring and autumn. Autumn varieties are more hardy and easy to care for, making them ideal for gardens with a moderate climate.

Cultivar anemones, grown in specialized nurseries, grow from tubers and usually do not exceed 30 cm in height. Among the most popular varieties are the creeping anemone (or buttercup anemone) and the blanda anemone (daisy-like). The first variety has large double flowers with a diameter of 6–8 cm, which can be single-colored – red, purple-blue, pink, lilac, or green-white, or two-colored with a red-white combination. Flowering begins in May. The second variety features elegant bluish flowers with a white ring or fully white/pink shades and blooms as early as April.

Special interest is shown by the variety 'Anemone Margarete', which belongs to the Buttercup family. This perennial herbaceous plant reaches a height of up to 80 cm, has branched stems and large downy leaves with uneven-toothed lobes in a grayish-green color. Pink semi-double flowers are gathered in loose terminal inflorescences and bloom from August to the first frosts, preferring shade or partial shade.

For successful cultivation of anemones, moderate watering and protection from strong winds is necessary. It is recommended to mulch the planting with a thin layer of bark or peat to retain moisture in the soil and prevent the development of diseases. These plants are perfect for both open ground and containers, giving the garden a light, almost airy atmosphere.
