Anemone Dream

Elegance of the Georgian Foothills

The 'Mechta' (Dream) anemone is a breeding achievement from the Federal Research Center “Subtropical Scientific Center of the RAS,” successfully combining the resilience of mountain varieties with exquisite decorative appeal. Unlike many demanding anemone species, this variety shows remarkable adaptability to container cultivation, making it a favorite for terraces, patios, and compact urban gardens.

Visual Profile

The key feature of 'Mechta' is its incredible palette. Flowers with a diameter of 5 to 10 cm dazzle in monochromatic pink, blue, or violet shades, as well as striking two-tone variations. This variability allows for dynamic compositions, where the plant shifts its 'mood' depending on light exposure and the blooming cycle.

Strengths and Weaknesses

• Advantages: A compact root system allows for the use of containers starting from 3-5 liters, ensuring abundant blooming in limited space. The perennial nature of the variety ensures longevity when proper winter temperature regimes are observed.
• Weaknesses: Like most subtropical hybrids, 'Mechta' is highly sensitive to waterlogging in the root zone. It requires high-quality drainage and careful monitoring of soil acidity.

This variety is an optimal choice for urban residents and professional landscape designers focusing on mobile greening. 'Mechta' does not require large areas yet delivers results characteristic of premium floral décor.
