Nantes CL

Carrot Nantes CL is an early hybrid variety with high productivity and excellent taste qualities. The roots are cylindrical, 16-18 cm long and 2.5-4.5 cm in diameter, with bright orange skin and flesh. This variety has a neat appearance, smooth skin, and high sugar and carotene content, giving the vegetable a particularly pleasant flavor. The maturity period is approximately 80-100 days after sowing, allowing for an early harvest.

Carrot Nantes CL is suitable for various uses: fresh consumption, processing, juice making, salads, and baby food. The variety exhibits good resistance to cracking and splitting, which helps preserve the root quality during storage. Under proper storage conditions, the carrot retains its properties for a long time.

For growing Nantes CL, sowing is recommended in early April in a greenhouse and at the end of April outdoors. Seeds are sown at a depth of 2-3 cm with rows spaced 20-25 cm apart, and thinning is performed after emergence, leaving 5-6 cm between plants. Plants are cold and drought tolerant, and young seedlings can withstand frosts down to -3 to -4 degrees. The variety prefers fertile, loose, and moderately moist soil, requires moderate watering, and is practically disease-free.
