The Minor carrot variety is a medium-late, high-yield variety that is excellent for growing in the central regions. The roots have a medium length of up to 17 cm, a conical shape with a slightly pointed tip, characteristic of the Valerium variety group. The flesh and core of the carrot are bright orange, juicy and tender, providing excellent taste qualities. The mass of the roots varies from 80 to 176 grams, which makes this variety convenient for use both fresh and for winter storage.

The Minor variety is distinguished by its high content of dry matter (about 13.5%), total sugars (8.8%) and carotene (up to 14.8 mg per 100 g of raw material), which contributes not only to a pleasant taste but also to high nutritional value. The vegetation period ranges from 98 to 115 days, allowing for a stable yield with a commercial yield of from 292 to 554 centners per hectare, and up to 828 centners per hectare under optimal conditions. The yield of commercial product reaches 78-90%, which indicates the high efficiency of the variety.

Minor carrots are recommended for growing both in open ground and in greenhouses or under covers in early spring. The variety is resistant to storage and does not lose its taste qualities during the winter period, making it an excellent choice for long-term use. The leaves of the plant are dark green, medium length and semi-spreading, which contributes to the good development of the roots and overall yield.
