Mazurka

Mazurka carrot variety is a medium-late universal type with a vegetation period from emergence to technical maturity of 120-130 days. The roots are conical in shape with a smooth surface and slightly pronounced eyes. The length of the fruits reaches 21-23 centimeters, mass varies from 100 to 250 grams. The intensely orange surface and red-orange juicy flesh provide excellent taste qualities, making this variety popular for both fresh consumption and canning.

The Mazurka variety is valued for its high marketability and yield, reaching 60-90 tons per hectare, as well as for the good storability of the roots. Direct sowing of seeds in the field is recommended, both on ridges and without them. Growing on ridges is especially effective in areas with sufficient moisture, on heavy and medium soils, as well as with irrigation. This method helps obtain uniform and long roots with high market quality and simplifies harvesting.

When growing without ridges, row planting with a row spacing of 30-45 centimeters is recommended. When using drip irrigation, optimal planting schemes are strip-lane patterns, for example 15+15+15+15x4 centimeters or 50+10+27+10+27+10+27x4 centimeters. For the best results, it is recommended to sow Mazurka carrots after crops for which organic fertilizers were applied. This approach ensures a stable and high-quality yield of this variety.
