Medium-late variety with high marketability and excellent taste qualities
Flamingo — Medium-late variety. From transplanting seedlings to technical maturity, 120-130 days. The plant is strong, and during head formation, leaves cover the bud from direct sunlight. Heads are round, large, weighing 1.5-2.3 kg, dense. Surface is bumpy, fine-grained, white. The cabbage variety Flamingo is cold-resistant, responsive to watering. It has high transportability, marketability, and yield (40-55 t/ha). Intended for fresh use, freezing, and canning. Can be grown both by seedling and direct seeding methods. Planting rate (seed sowing) is 25-35 thousand per 1 ha. Harvesting should begin when the head is still in the growth phase, so harvesting must be done promptly. However, colored cabbage can also be stored for 4-6 weeks. In this case, leaves should not be removed at harvest; they are trimmed after storage at head level. Optimal storage conditions for colored cabbage are: temperature 0...+10°C and relative air humidity above 95%.
