The plant forms a semi-spreading leaf rosette with long green semi-cut leaves that are positioned vertically, which facilitates harvest. The variety is adapted to various growing conditions and recommended for early spring and late summer sowing, which expands its application possibilities in different regions. Astarta root crops have a conical shape with a blunt base and rounded shoulders without anthocyanin coloring. The skin and core of the root crop are colored in sunny yellow, and the size of the root crops varies from 8 to 14 cm in length with a weight from 80 to 125 g. Taste qualities are good, with pronounced sweetness and a small core. The root crops protrude relatively strongly above the soil level, which facilitates their collection. The variety is resistant to main carrot diseases, including bolting and root cracking, which contributes to maintaining product quality. Astarta yield is from 2.1 to 3.6 kg per square meter, making it a high-yield option for various purposes. Thanks to good storability and fruit uniformity, the variety is suitable for long-term storage and processing.
