YANG QING CHOI is a mid-early hybrid of Chinese cabbage, characterized by an erect plant with elongated green leaves and stalks. The plant reaches a medium height, forming a compact rosette of leaves with an egg-shaped, blistered, and weakly wavy light green leaf blade. Stalks are of medium length and thickness, light green and slightly concave. Plant weight varies from 250 to 450 grams, with a yield of about 6.2-6.4 kg per square meter.
This variety is characterized by excellent resistance to bolting, allowing it to be grown year-round and providing a stable harvest. The taste of the leaves is good, making YANG QING CHOI cabbage popular for fresh consumption and home cooking. The leaves contain a significant amount of vitamin C — about 80% of the daily norm per 100 grams of product, which contributes to strengthening the immune system and maintaining health.
YANG QING CHOI cabbage does not form a head, which makes it convenient for using specifically the leaves and stalks. The average maturation period is 40-50 days after germination, allowing for quick harvest. Due to its characteristics and versatility, this variety is suitable for growing in various regions and conditions, ensuring stable quality and high productivity.
