Description Toparani
Toparanі — an early-maturing variety of red cabbage, characterized by round, dense heads of purple or red-purple color. Head weight ranges from 1.5 to 2 kg, and the leaves have medium size and rich coloration, giving the vegetable an attractive appearance and high taste quality. This variety is an improved version of the Topaz variety and is intended for fresh consumption, processing, and temporary storage.

Cabbage Toparanі can be grown both by seedlings and direct sowing. Seeds are recommended to be sown in greenhouses or polytunnels in March–April, and seedlings should be transplanted into open ground at the end of April–beginning of May, depending on weather conditions. The optimal planting scheme is 60x40 or 50x50 cm, allowing for approximately four plants per square meter. The variety is well-adapted to various soil-climatic conditions in Ukraine, possesses cold tolerance, but requires adequate moisture and fertilization to achieve maximum yield.

Toparanі is characterized by high marketability — 90–95%, and yield reaches 2.5–4 kg per square meter. The cabbage has good transportability, making it convenient for marketing and storage. Moreover, this variety is an important source of vitamins K and C, enhancing its value for healthy nutrition.
