Romanov F1

Red cabbage Romanov F1 is a medium-maturing hybrid variety developed by the large Dutch company Hazera. This variety is versatile in cultivation and suitable for various agroclimatic conditions across Ukraine. It is typically grown using seedlings, both in open and covered ground. The recommended planting density is 40-60 thousand plants per hectare, ensuring optimal growth and high yield. A strong root system contributes to the plant's drought resistance and supports its development under challenging conditions. Romanov F1 cabbage heads have a round-oval shape, weighing 1.5 to 2.5 kilograms. They feature a uniform red-purple color and compact size, making the variety popular in fresh markets. Upper leaves are small, while the inner head structure is dense and juicy, with tender and crisp leaves. The variety is not prone to cracking during ripening, ensuring fruit preservation and an attractive appearance. The vegetation period is approximately 80-90 days from seedling transplanting. Romanov F1 is versatile in use: suitable for fresh consumption as well as processing. The harvest can remain in the field for up to one month after ripening, and in refrigerated conditions — up to 1-2 months, with heads well-transported without damage. The variety is easy to grow, readily adapts to different soil-climatic conditions, and has high market appeal, making it an ideal choice for early-maturing red cabbage on the market.
