Cabbage STONE HEAD CABBAGE

A Reliable Foundation for Long-Term Storage

The “Golova Sadovaya” white cabbage hybrid by the Gavrish breeding company is the top choice for those who prioritize long-term storage and market stability. If your goal is to secure high-quality produce well into the following summer, this hybrid provides the essential storage potential for your business model.

Agronomic Advantages

The core strength of “Golova Sadovaya” lies in its balance of a long growing season (140-150 days) and robust resistance to common field pathogens. While many mid-season varieties succumb to disease pressure, this hybrid exhibits impressive immunity against:

• Fusarium wilt;
• Alternaria leaf spot;
• Various types of rot.

This genetic protection allows farmers to minimize fungicide usage, which is vital for producers aiming for clean, market-ready yields.

Harvest Specs and Usage

In terms of appearance, the “Golova Sadovaya” heads are premium-grade: they feature a deep dark-green color and a flattened-round shape, making them highly marketable. With a head weight ranging from 3.0 to 5.0 kg, they are perfectly suited for both wholesale fresh market sales and processing. The dense leaf structure ensures easy shredding and provides the crunch consumers expect from quality cabbage.

However, the true value of this hybrid becomes apparent in the warehouse. With proper temperature control, you can expect 8 to 10 months of shelf life without significant loss of quality. For growers, this means the strategic flexibility to hold inventory and sell during peak market prices.

Target Audience

“Golova Sadovaya” is the optimal solution for professional operations specialized in winter vegetable production. Because it requires careful adherence to agricultural practices and a full growing season, it is not intended for those seeking a quick, short-cycle harvest. For owners of vegetable warehouses and large-scale distribution centers, however, this Gavrish hybrid serves as a reliable asset for securing year-round profits.
