Safir

Safir white cabbage is a mid-late hybrid with a growing period of about 110 days, designed for cultivation both in private households and for commercial use on the fresh market. The cabbage heads have an oval-flattened shape and green color, with an average weight of 2-2.5 kg, but can reach up to 5 kg. The inner part of the head has a dense structure with a medium-sized stalk, which ensures high product taste qualities. The leaves have medium hardness and are covered with a waxy coating, which increases the plant's resistance to pests, particularly thrips.

The hybrid is characterized by high resistance to bacterial blight and fusarium wilt, which makes it a reliable choice for cultivation in various conditions. The recommended planting density is about 40 thousand plants per hectare, which contributes to the formation of heads of optimal size, suitable for fresh consumption and processing. Safir cabbage is suitable for pickling, long-term storage, and use in cooking, for example, for preparing borscht and salads.

To obtain a high and quality yield, it is important to ensure regular soil moisture, timely fertilization, and choose well-lit areas for planting. The harvest can be collected as early as late August – early September with early seedling planting, and with later planting, harvesting is shifted to October. Cabbage stores well for 6-7 months without loss of quality, which makes it a universal and profitable choice for long-term use.
