Grenat bracelet F1 is a mid-season hybrid of Brussels sprouts with a maturity period of about 120 days. The plant reaches a height of 60-70 cm and forms 30-40 small round heads of a purple-red color in the leaf axils, which becomes more saturated at lower temperatures. The total mass of the heads is 400-500 g. The culture is characterized by high cold resistance and is able to withstand frosts down to –7 °C.
Sowing for seedlings is recommended to be carried out in March-April, and transplanting into the open ground – in May with inter-row spacing of 50 x 60 cm. The variety yields up to 1.5-2.0 kg per square meter. Harvest is carried out when the heads become dense and closed. To preserve freshness, stems are cut at the root collar, leaves are removed, leaving the heads on the stems, as cut ones wilt quickly.
The heads possess valuable dietary qualities and a delicate taste during cooking. Brussels sprouts of the Grenat bracelet variety are used to prepare salads, various side dishes, soups, as well as fresh and for canning, which makes this hybrid universal and in demand in cooking.
