Cucumber Gulliver

Stability and Classics for Greenhouses

The «Gulliver» cucumber is a breeding development from the Federal Scientific Center for Vegetable Production, designed for professional use in glass greenhouses. This hybrid is the result of extensive research aimed at creating resilient crops capable of providing predictable yields under controlled climatic conditions.

Agronomic Profile and Protection

The primary value of this hybrid lies in its genetic resistance to diseases that often cause profit losses in greenhouse operations. «Gulliver» demonstrates a high level of resistance to Alternaria blight. Furthermore, the variety effectively withstands rots, which simplifies technological processes and reduces the need for excessive chemical plant protection.

Market Qualities and Characteristics

By choosing «Gulliver», producers focus on the marketability of their produce:

• Fruit length: 15–20 cm, which is the industry standard for the fresh market and retail.
• Color: deep green, maintaining attractiveness after harvest and transportation.
• Application: professional cultivation in protected ground.

The reputation of this hybrid is built on its reliability. The originators—the Educational and Scientific Center of the Vegetable Experimental Station at the Federal Scientific Center for Vegetable Production—have created a crop that performs predictably on various substrates within glass greenhouses, ensuring stable fruiting. It is a choice for those seeking a balance between market demands for fruit size and the biological endurance of the plant.
