Cabbage Puntoverde

Yield consistency and market-ready quality

For professional growers, the "Puntoverde" cauliflower hybrid from Rijk Zwaan represents a standard in harvest predictability. With a maturity window of 70-80 days, this variety allows for efficient crop scheduling, ensuring a steady supply for both supermarkets and processing facilities. Selecting a hybrid with such a proven track record significantly mitigates the logistical challenges of large-scale vegetable production.

Field performance and maintenance

• Head development: The variety produces heads weighing between 1.0 and 2.0 kg. The compact, dense structure of the curds ensures that the product maintains its integrity during transit, reducing losses from the field to the retail level.
• Operational efficiency: The plants exhibit strong vigor and uniform growth. This uniformity simplifies the harvesting process, as a high percentage of the crop reaches optimal quality at the same time, maximizing labor productivity.
• Market versatility: Whether your target is the fresh market or industrial processing, Puntoverde provides excellent utility. Its internal density makes it an ideal candidate for mechanical processing and deep-freezing applications, where maintaining curd structure is paramount.

Incorporating Puntoverde into your production cycle means prioritizing efficiency and reliability. The plant is highly responsive to standard nutrient programs and shows remarkable resilience against field stressors. For owners who demand high-quality inputs, this Rijk Zwaan hybrid offers the perfect balance of manageable growth habits and superior market output.
