Cabbage Konstans

Reliable Protection Against Fusarium

When working with kohlrabi, the greatest challenge is often protecting the stem bulb from diseases, particularly Fusarium. With 'Constance' from Bejo, this issue becomes a non-factor. Throughout the growing season, this hybrid proves itself as a resilient cultivar; while other varieties might succumb to fungal wilt, this Dutch-bred hybrid maintains its vigor, significantly reducing the need for intensive fungicide applications and lowering overall operating costs.

Field Performance and Market Appeal

From an operator's perspective, 'Constance' is a highly predictable crop. It develops uniform, compact stem bulbs, which is crucial for efficient harvesting and sorting.

• Disease Resilience: The built-in resistance to Fusarium wilt is a game-changer, saving both time and money on chemical treatments.
• Market Quality: With its smooth skin and vibrant color, 'Constance' is a standout on the fresh market. Customers prefer the clean, appetizing appearance, which leads to better price points.
• Consistency: The Dutch genetics by Bejo deliver uniform results, ensuring that you get a predictable yield without the risk of internal voids or inconsistent sizing.

If your goal is to supply premium retail chains or high-end vegetable stands, this hybrid is an essential tool. The high yield of high-quality produce and the density of the stem bulbs make 'Constance' a cost-effective choice for any commercial kohlrabi producer.
