Komati cabbage (KS 15) F1 is a medium-maturing hybrid of white cabbage, developed by specialists of the Dutch company Kitano Seeds. This variety is intended for cultivation during the summer-autumn period in open ground and is characterized by high adaptability to various climatic conditions and soil types, making it universal for cultivation throughout Ukraine. The plant features a compact leafy rosette and a tall stem, which contributes to resistance against rotting and overwatering, as well as allows it to withstand slight planting density.
Cabbage heads have a regular round shape, small size, and weigh between 2 to 3 kg. They are distinguished by a dense, firm structure with bright green outer leaves and a white inner part with a small core. This structure ensures excellent taste and crisp texture, making the cabbage suitable for both fresh consumption and processing into various dishes.
The Komati variety has high resistance to cracking even under high humidity, ensuring excellent transportability and long-term storage without loss of quality. Due to its compactness and tall stem, the cabbage can be stored for up to three months after harvest, making it an advantageous choice for marketing and long-term storage.
