Atena kohlrabi is the result of selection by the Czech company AGROFIRMA MORAVOSEED and is intended for cultivation in garden and vegetable plots, home gardens, and small farms. This early variety is characterized by a period from full germination to technical maturity of about 130 days, which allows for a quick harvest. The plant forms a semi-vertical rosette of medium size with egg-shaped leaves of grey-green color covered with a waxy coating, giving them additional protection and an attractive appearance.
The stem fruit of the Atena variety has a round or flat-round shape of medium size with a concave top. The fruit skin is green, while the flesh is white, tender, juicy, and tasty, making this variety especially valuable for fresh consumption and processing. The mass of the productive part ranges from 180 to 220 grams, and the marketable yield reaches 3.0-3.5 kg per square meter, indicating stable and high productivity of the variety.
For optimal cultivation, it is recommended to follow a sowing scheme of 25x25 cm, which provides sufficient space for plant development. The Atena variety is distinguished not only by high yield but also by excellent taste qualities, making it a popular choice among gardeners and farmers seeking to obtain a quality and useful product.
