Description Ruta
Ruta buckwheat is an early-maturing variety recommended for cultivation in the forest-steppe zone. This variety was registered in 2014 and developed by the National Academy of Agricultural Sciences of Ukraine. Due to its characteristics, Ruta is suitable for obtaining high-quality buckwheat, which is valued as a cereal, honey-producing, and forage crop.

One of the important features of the Ruta variety is its susceptibility to various diseases, which can significantly reduce yields. Among the most common buckwheat diseases are phytophthora, false powdery mildew, gray mold, ascochytosis, and bacterial blight. Depending on the severity of infection by these diseases, yield losses may range from 10 to 25% and more.

To successfully grow the Ruta variety, it is necessary to apply comprehensive measures to protect plants from diseases. This includes timely diagnosis, use of resistant varieties, as well as agronomic and chemical protection methods. Such an approach allows minimizing losses and ensuring a stable and high-quality buckwheat harvest.
