Buckwheat «Pegas»: Breeding Excellence by Ooo Fagopirum

In the specialized market of buckwheat production, the «Pegas» variety, developed by «Ooo Fagopirum» and lead originator Anatoly Dmitrievich Ten, represents a significant focus on grain productivity and agricultural efficiency. This variety is the result of dedicated research aimed at optimizing buckwheat yields for specific climate zones.

Agronomic Profile and Growing Season

The vegetation period of the «Pegas» variety is strictly defined at 100–110 days. This balanced maturity cycle allows farmers to integrate the crop into diverse rotation systems while effectively managing harvest risks. The variety is engineered to provide consistent growth patterns, which is a major advantage for commercial scale production.

Market Application and Quality

«Ooo Fagopirum» has prioritized the genetic traits that millers and processors value most: high yield of kernels and superior sensory characteristics. By choosing «Pegas», producers are investing in a reliable product that simplifies field management and enhances the final commercial value of the crop. Key benefits include:

• Uniform maturation, facilitating streamlined harvesting processes.
• Resilience to regional environmental fluctuations.
• Consistent grain quality suitable for high-grade processing.

For agricultural producers looking for a proven, stable variety with a predictable 100–110 day cycle, the «Pegas» buckwheat remains a standard in the Ooo Fagopirum portfolio, reflecting the company’s commitment to high-quality agricultural science.
