Juravushka is an early-maturing asparagus bean variety, ripening 40-50 days after seedling emergence. The plant is bushy, compact, 40-50 cm tall, with green leaves and medium-sized white flowers. The pods of this variety are slightly curved, smooth, green, 12-13 cm long and 0.9-1.1 cm wide, without a parchment layer or fibers, with an apex that can be either pointed or blunt. The height of the lower pods' attachment is 19-21 cm.
The variety is distinguished by high and stable yield reaching up to 1.5 kg per square meter, as well as resistance to bacterial blight. Thanks to its taste qualities, Juravushka beans are excellent for making soups, side dishes, as well as for canning and freezing. Canned products made from this variety have an excellent taste, making it in demand among consumers.
Juravushka prefers light and warm growing conditions, as well as fertile loamy and medium-loam soils with a neutral reaction. Acidic soils are recommended to be limed. The plant is demanding for moisture, does not tolerate fresh manure, and does not need support. Sowing is conducted in well-warmed soil at the end of May – beginning of June, when the threat of recurrent frosts has passed, with seeds sown 5-6 cm deep. The recommended distance between plants in a row is 15-20 cm, and between rows is 50 cm. Fruits ripen approximately two weeks after flowering begins and bear fruit for 6-8 weeks under favorable conditions, while the harvest is collected before full maturity.
