Dutch Selection Excellence for Commercial Growers

When it comes to selecting genetics that guarantee consistency, Bejo is often the first name that comes to mind for professional growers. The 'Universal' variety (Универсал) is a hallmark of Bejo's expertise in cauliflower, designed specifically for those who prioritize efficiency and harvest predictability. It has built a solid reputation as a reliable workhorse in the field.

Key Agronomic Characteristics

The 'Universal' hybrid features a mid-season maturity cycle, requiring 90–100 days from transplanting to harvest. It produces dense, uniform heads weighing between 1.0 and 1.5 kg. The distinct yellow-green coloration of the curds is a trademark feature, signaling both freshness and high internal quality.

Why Growers Choose 'Universal'

• Dual-Purpose Utility: Whether your focus is the fresh produce market or industrial processing like freezing and canning, this variety handles both with ease.
• Post-Harvest Quality: The high density of the cauliflower curds provides excellent shelf life and superior durability during transit.
• Adaptive Strength: Leveraging Bejo's advanced genetics, the plants show remarkable resilience to environmental stressors typical of major growing regions.

For the modern grower, 'Universal' by Bejo represents a pragmatic investment. It avoids the volatility of experimental seeds and focuses on what truly matters: a high yield of top-tier, marketable heads that meet the strict requirements of modern supply chains.
