Bean Boberan

The 2025 Breeding Breakthrough: Boberan Bean

The "Boberan" variety, officially registered in 2025 by the Institute of Grain Crops of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine, is a complex hybrid of the bush type. Designed for modern agricultural efficiency, the plant features a low-growing, prostrate habit, making it perfectly suited for mechanized harvesting operations.

Marketability and Utilization

Boberan is specifically bred for high-quality grain production, suitable for both fresh market consumption and industrial processing. Its elliptical pod shape and moderate constriction in the dry state ensure efficient threshing while maintaining seed integrity.

• Visual Appeal: The pods are yellow with a smooth or slightly rough texture, providing a clean, professional appearance that meets retail standards.
• Logistics and Transport: The presence of fiber in the ventral suture and a long, slightly curved beak provide excellent resistance to pod shattering, ensuring that the crop remains intact during transport and handling.
• Storage: The stable morphology of the grain allows for long-term storage without significant loss of quality, offering farmers flexibility in their supply chain management.

With its white flowers and large apical leaflets, Boberan is a robust choice for producers prioritizing consistency. The plant's architecture ensures optimal nutrient distribution, resulting in uniform grain filling and a high-quality final product ready for the market.
