Description LANDRIN
Landrin is an annual basil plant featuring a strong spicy aroma with caramel notes and a slightly astringent taste with a bitter undertone. Its aroma is unique, resembling a combination of saffron, cinnamon, licorice, mint, and cloves, making Landrin particularly appealing to gourmets and lovers of spicy herbs. The plant's leaves are glossy, oval-shaped with smooth or slightly serrated edges, usually slightly cup-shaped, and the flowers are pink and gathered into terminal inflorescences. The plant is of medium height with medium-sized green egg-shaped leaves. Landrin is characterized by medium maturity: the period from full germination to the beginning of flowering is 62-64 days. The mass of one plant reaches about 50 grams, and the yield of greens is approximately 1 kilogram per square meter. Due to its characteristics, Landrin basil is recommended for growing in personal subsidiary holdings and can be used both fresh and dried. Its leaves and young shoots are excellent as an aromatic addition to meat, fish, and vegetable dishes, as well as for canning vegetables and fruits. This variety of basil was developed and presented by the Vegetable Crops Breeding Research Institute, which guarantees its high quality and adaptability to growing conditions. Landrin combines decorative and taste qualities, making it a versatile plant for culinary use and home gardening.
