Description Vivat
The Vivat winter barley variety is a medium-maturing, multi-row, two-rowed barley, recommended for cultivation in the North Caucasus region. It is characterized by high resistance to lodging, ensuring stable yields. The average yield of this variety is about 58.5 c/ha, with maximum yields reaching 10.6–9.6 t/ha. It is grain-forage, with protein content in grain ranging from 8.9 to 13.8%, making it valuable for feed purposes.

The variety has moderate resistance to brown rust and powdery mildew, but is susceptible to severe infection by helminthosporium and powdery mildew, requiring timely application of fungicides and insecticides for crop protection. To achieve maximum productivity, proper soil preparation, accurate sowing at optimal depth, and application of complex fertilizers, including nitrogenous topdressing in spring, are recommended.

Vivat meets modern agronomic production requirements, possesses high winter hardiness and a yield potential of up to 10.5 t/ha. Plant height reaches up to 125 cm, and the six-row ear ensures good grain density. This barley variety is suitable for use in food, feed, and technical purposes, making it versatile and in demand in agriculture.
