DN Legend is an early sugar corn hybrid of type Se, distinguished by high adaptability and flexibility to various growing conditions. The maturity period ranges from 65 to 73 days, allowing harvest in mid-summer. The plant is robust, reaching up to 170 cm in height, with evenly spaced and fertile ears measuring 17 to 22 cm in length. The kernels are golden-yellow, large, juicy, and tightly packed, with 16 to 18 rows. High sugar content gives the corn a rich, creamy-sweet flavor, making it attractive for both fresh consumption and processing.
The Legend hybrid is resistant to diseases and cold, ensuring stable yields and suitability for cultivation on various soil types. Corn grows well on sunny plots at soil temperatures not below 10 °C and in moist soil. For optimal development, seeds should be sown after the last spring frosts at a depth of about 5 cm, with a planting rate of 50,000 plants per hectare at a spacing of 75x25 cm. Due to its durability, ears can be stored for 7 to 10 days after harvest, which is convenient for transportation and fresh market sales.
DN Legend is suitable for mechanical harvesting and has excellent market appearance. Early maturity and high yield make this hybrid popular among farmers and processors alike. To extend the harvest period, sequential plantings until mid-July are recommended, or different varieties with varying maturity dates can be used. The hybrid is produced in France, ensuring high seed quality and stable characteristics.
