Barley Soborniy

Stability for demanding farming conditions

Winter barley "Sobornyi", developed by the Myronivka Wheat Institute named after V.M. Remeslo, is designed for farms operating in climates with moderate risks. Its primary advantage lies in the combination of high winter hardiness (8 points) and genetic resistance to major foliar infections. This makes it an ideal choice for growers looking to reduce fungicide application rates during autumn and early spring seasons.

Agrotechnical advantages and field application

• Managed growth: With a plant height of 70–80 cm, the crop minimizes lodging risks even under intensive fertilization, simplifying the harvesting process and reducing grain losses.
• High yield potential: The six-row spike combined with large grain (1,000-kernel weight of 50–52 g) ensures consistent yields, even in years with limited moisture during the grain-filling stage.
• Phytosanitary barrier: The variety shows strong resistance to powdery mildew, various types of rust, and Mycosphaerella leaf blotch.

Field experience confirms that "Sobornyi" performs best on fertile soils when optimal sowing windows are followed. Resistance to net blotch allows farmers to plan protection strategies confidently, avoiding emergency treatments during the early vegetation stages. For the farm, this translates to lower chemical costs and greater predictability in scenarios where weather conditions prevent timely field access for spraying.

We recommend this variety for agricultural enterprises focused on intensive grain production that require a crop capable of surviving winter temperature fluctuations while maintaining peak productivity levels.
