SY KOOMET

SY KOOMET — a new winter barley hybrid developed using Hyvido® technology, characterized by high yield and disease resistance. Registered in 2021, this medium-height hybrid is intended for forage use and is adapted for cultivation in all soil-climate zones of Ukraine. Due to its high tillering coefficient, the recommended seeding rate is halved, which helps conserve seed material without compromising yield.

The SY KOOMET hybrid exhibits high winter hardiness and drought resistance, enabling stable yields even under unstable climatic conditions. It shows enhanced resistance to major barley diseases, including rhynchosporiosis, leaf spot, brown leaf rust, and powdery mildew. For improved resistance, the application of Miratis Neo is recommended.

SY KOOMET develops rapidly and responds well to various agronomic practices. It can be sown in three different periods — early, medium, and late — providing flexibility in agronomy. Additionally, it is compatible with tank mixtures containing herbicides, fungicides, and insecticides, simplifying crop protection and enhancing cultivation efficiency.
