Barley DAR KUBANI

Yield stability in southern latitudes

Winter barley "Dar Kubani" is a breeding product from the P.P. Lukyanenko National Grain Center, established as a "safe bet" variety in crop rotations. Unlike many intensive hybrids that require perfect conditions, this variety demonstrates remarkable plasticity across various levels of agricultural technology.

Crop health as a priority

The main advantage of "Dar Kubani" is its complex genetic resistance to the most dangerous leaf diseases. The variety's phytosanitary profile includes high tolerance to:

• Helminthosporiosis, which often compromises grain quality during a wet spring;
• Powdery mildew, preventing premature senescence of the leaf apparatus;
• Dwarf leaf rust, allowing for the preservation of the photosynthetic surface until grain filling is complete.

These traits allow farmers to optimize fungicide costs, which is critical in today’s economic climate.

Who should choose "Dar Kubani"?

This variety is an optimal solution for farms operating in areas with unstable moisture levels. It does not aim for the records of "European" hybrids under perfect management, but delivers a predictable harvest where other varieties fail under stress. This is a choice for agronomists who prioritize profitability over chasing maximum scores in competitive trials.

A potential drawback of the variety is its sensitivity to extremely late planting dates, where it may not form sufficient vegetative mass. However, when planting schedules are strictly followed, "Dar Kubani" reveals its tillering potential, creating a strong stand capable of resisting lodging.
