Barley Reliable

Technical Profile of the "Nadiinyi" Barley Variety

The "Nadiinyi" variety is a versatile selection developed by the Plant Breeding and Genetics Institute (NCSS, Ukraine). Its primary technical advantage is its dual-purpose nature: the variety is suitable for both winter and spring cultivation. This adaptability offers agronomists a strategic tool to mitigate risks associated with volatile weather conditions and late-season sowing adjustments.

Morphological and Yield Characteristics

• Ear Structure: Six-rowed ear type. This architecture is the core driver of the variety’s productivity, ensuring high grain density per ear, which translates to superior yields under standard agronomic management.
• Grain Quality: The weight of 1,000 seeds ranges from 42 to 44 grams. This indicates high kernel filling and seed vigor, which are essential metrics for establishing robust plant density and optimizing harvest outcomes.
• Phytosanitary Resistance: The genetic profile is enhanced to withstand common pathogens, specifically powdery mildew and stem smut. This intrinsic resistance reduces the necessity for intensive chemical intervention, aligning with sustainable crop management practices.

The practical value of "Nadiinyi" lies in its biological balance: high grain weight coupled with a dense six-rowed ear allows for efficient resource utilization within the soil. Validated by field trials across diverse Ukrainian climatic zones, this variety provides a reliable and predictable performance metrics for large-scale agricultural production.
