Maize GS 210

Field Performance of GS 210

When selecting hybrids for temperate climates, many farmers lean towards Hungarian breeding for its consistency. The GS 210 three-way hybrid by Woodstock delivers exactly what is expected from European standards: stable development and resistance to environmental stress.

Versatility in Application

For operations balancing grain production with high-quality fodder for livestock, this hybrid is a reliable performer. The semi-flint grain performs exceptionally well whether harvesting for grain or silage. The plant produces a high dry matter yield, and its FAO range (90–1240) provides the flexibility needed to optimize harvest windows.

Agronomic Advantages

• Yield Potential: Thanks to the rigorous breeding efforts of Hungaroseed and the team of originators, the hybrid shows high early vigor.
• Consistency: The three-way cross structure ensures a strong heterosis effect, resulting in excellent crop uniformity even in variable field conditions.
• Harvest Efficiency: The grain displays good dry-down characteristics, reducing post-harvest drying costs and improving overall profitability.

In the field, GS 210 is undemanding: it responds well to fertilization and requires standard weed and pest management. Its yield potential is best realized when following the recommended planting density for this maturity group. For the operator, this translates to a consistent flow of grain into the hopper and smooth operation of the forage harvester's chopper unit.
