Barley Laudis 550 is an agricultural seed intended for growing cereal crops, particularly barley. This variety is recommended for use in forest-steppe regions and has been registered since 2014. The primary use of Laudis 550 is cereal production, making it a suitable choice for farmers cultivating barley under the specified climatic conditions.
It should be noted that there is also a systemic herbicide named Laudis, designed to combat annual broadleaf and grassy weeds in corn crops. The active ingredients of the herbicide are tembotrione (200 g/kg) and isoxadifen (antidote, 100 g/kg). The herbicide is formulated as water-soluble granules and packaged in 3 kg bags. It effectively controls a wide range of weeds, including white goosefoot, ragweed, shepherd’s purse, and barnyard grass, and ensures reliable weed control in corn crops.
The mechanism of action of the herbicide Laudis is based on its effect on the carotenoid layer, disrupting the photosynthesis process in weeds, leading to their bleaching and death. The recommended application rate is 0.4-0.5 kg/ha in combination with the herbicide Mero at a dosage of 1.0-2.0 L/ha. Therefore, Laudis 550 as barley and the herbicide Laudis are different products, each with its own characteristics and purpose in agriculture.
